LAURA'S LEGACY Like her Name was; Laura - means The most caring, loyal and trustworthy person you will ever meet, the best friend you could ever have! She is shy with people she doesn't know, but is really a super crazy, hyper and happy person. Is usually positive, but some things can bring her down. Everyone loves her, and if they don't they are probably just jealous of her. If your sad, she will always cheer you up by being crazy, and her laugh makes you laugh. Busingye - means peace and that's who Laura was. Very peaceful. Praise - this was all the praise she gave everyone else that came her way. I met Laura in 2004 in our primary seven vacation. I can't remember the month but it was though mutual friend of ours. My first impression of her was that she was such a quiet, simple, meek and modest person. The Stigma and Discrimination the is being rebuilt all over again

I was priviledged to be at the salon on the previous weekend and the lady that was working on my hair happened to have a maid that is HIV positive. So she just found out that morning and she was soon disgruntled and frustrated. she called all her friends telling them of her maids situation and they all advised her to chase her their and then so she doesn't have to risk her children and her family at large. They rebuked and judged her in all ways and I could feel a spirit of gross stigmatisation that is still buried in some of our people's hearts. My heart just broke as I listened to them. However i kept listening to them as they went on and on and came up with all sorts of advise for the young lady, they even went as far as saying that she would infect them through the food she would prepare.
